Afridi to lead Pakistan in Asia Cup and England

Pakistan’s T20 captain Shahid Afridi Tuesday entrusted to lead the national cricket team in Asia Cup in Sri Lanka next month and September tour of England, sources said. A meeting of Pakistan Cricket Board presided over by chairman Ijaz Butt has been underway at PCB headquarters in Gaddafi Stadium here. Afridi and opener Salman Butt were contenders for the Test captaincy but the board members opted for Shahid Afridi to lead Pakistan team in England tour.
