Condemnations Pour in Against Taliban Attack on Malala Yousufzai

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and other top leaders on Tuesday strongly condemned Talibanโ€™s attack on Malala Yousufzai and termed it a cowardly act of terrorism.

Yousufzai and two others girls were wounded when gunmen opened fire on their school van in scenic Swat valley earlier in the day.

Banned Tehrik-e-Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a statement, President Zardari termed the attack as unbearable.

Prime Minister Ashraf said that it was the act of a particular mindset, which needed to be fought.

PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif, PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, ANP leader Asfandyar Wali Khan and MQM chief Altaf Hussain were among those who condemned the shooting which left Malala and two other girls wounded.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that terrorists were even scared of an innocent girl.
