Pakistan’s top cricketers Younus Khan, Shahid Afridi, Moin Khan and Salauhuddin Ahmed will be serving the cause of humanity through the programme being organized by Islamic Relief Pakistan (IRP) to raise funds for peoples devastated by the worst-ever floods in the country.

Speaking here at a joint press briefing at Karachi Gymkhana at the launch of function for the floods victims for their rehabilitation in various parts of Pakistan, Vice President IRP Anwar A. Khan, Adnan Ansari, former Test pacer Jalaluddin, Salahuddin Ahmed and former first class cricketer Haris Ahmed Khan said they are working for the welfare of the flood affected people.
Former Pakistan Captain Moin Khan said he was moved by the problems being faced by flood victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.
Moin Khan shared his experiences of working with IRP as their volunteer. He said he personally went to affected areas during October 2005 earthquake in Pakistan and he will again be available to IRP for fund-raisers during coming weeks.
“Pakistan has given us everything and now it was time for us to return something to the country by helping our peoples seriously affected by the floods,” he said.
Anwar Khan said they have already raised $ 3 million in the United States while $ 2 million medicine will also be distributed among the flood affected people.
Anwar said he with Younus Khan, Salahuddin and Haris Khan have visited Charsada where they distributed different items among the flood affected people.
Anwar Khan said some of their projects in earthquake areas are still operative.
