FIFA has announced the hosts of 2018 and 2022 football worldcups. According to FIFA, 2018 worldcup would be

hosted by Russia while 2022 worldcup would be hosted by Qatar. Amazingly United Kingdom could not become the host of 2018 FIFA worldcup. The ceremony was attended by Prince William of the UK, British Prime Minister David Cameron and star British footballer David Beckham who got disappointed after hearing the decision. Holland and Belgium and Spain and Portugal were also competing to become the worldcup hosts.
On the other hand 2022 FIFA worldcup would be hosted by Qatar. This is for the first time that a Muslim country would host a FIFA worldcup whereas Asia would host the worldcup for the second time. Australia, South Korea, USA and Japan were also competing to host the worldcup of 2022.
