India may release more water in Sutlej, Ravi

Pakistan fears that India could spill a huge amount of water into Sutlej and Ravi River.

According to the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), India has received record Monsoon rains, which led to a record surge in its water reservoirs.

New Delhi may release a huge amount of water in Sutlej River, causing floodings in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the FFD has directed the people living on the bank of Sutlej to move to safety.

The Ravi River is also in low flood at Madhiapur. In some areas, low floodings could be seen in the next three to four days.
