KESC, KRL and Army win PPFL matches

KESC, KRL and Army win PPFL matchesKARACHI: Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) and Army won their Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) matches played at three different venues on Sunday.

The KESC beat Wapda 2-1 at the Peoples Sports Complex in Karachi. Both the goals for KESC were scored by Mohammad Rasool (44th and 70th min) while Mohammad Afzal reduced the margin for Wapda.

At Karachi’s KPT Sports Complex, KRL thrashed Karachi Port Trust 4-0 with skipper Samar Ishaq (29th min), Mahmood Khan (64th min) and substitute player Saadullah (72nd and 76th mins) scoring the goals.

Meanwhile, at the Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium in Quetta, Army beat Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) 2-0. The goals for the winners were scored by substitute players Ikram (79th min) and Ansar Abbas (83rd min). The match also saw PEL’s goalkeeper Ajab Khan getting a red card in the 76th minute. He will have to sit out their next match too.

Monday’s fixtures:

Baloch FC and PAF at Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium, Quetta (2.30pm); Muslim FC and Navy at Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium, Quetta (5.00pm); NBP and PMC Athletico FC at KPT Football Stadium, Karachi (5.00pm).
