MQMs Resignations Not Accepted as Yet

Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan has not accepted thus far the resignations tendered by the ministers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Muttahida resented the statement of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding Altaf Hussain and that of Khursheed Shah over the word ‘Mohajir’. The PPP leader later apologized over the statement.

It should be mentioned here that the Sindh MPAs hailing from the MQM, dispatched their resignations to Sindh governor last night after the party announced on Sunday to part ways with the provincial government led by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Meantime, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah also did not approve the resignations of the advisors and assistants.

It is pertinent to note here that the governor and PPP leader Rehman A. Malik have not met as yet concerning the issue of resignations.
