Oil Prices May be Slashed from May

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) forwarded a summary to petroleum and finance ministries on Monday, recommending fresh cut in prices of petroleum products for the coming month of May.

According to sources, the regulator has proposed to reduce petrolโ€™s price by 34 paisas/litre, kerosene oil by Rs3.08/litre and light diesel by 93 paisas.

In addition, it has recommended the government to slash the price of high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs4.51/ litre

The Ministry of Finance will approve the summary on April 30. New prices will be applicable from 1st May.
