Pakistan First win in 2 Match ODI Series vs Scotland

Pakistan effortlessly secured a 96-run victory over Scotland in their opening one-day international against Scotland in Edinburgh, sealing 1-0 win in two-match ODI series, Meida reported Saturday.

Having won the toss, Pakistan’s opted to bat first and accumulated 231 runs for seven at the Grange Cricket Club Ground. Pakistan’s first partnership crumbled when it lost first wicket of Nasir Jamshed (20) at a total score of 50 runs.

Muhammed Hafeez could hit only 18 runs, followed by Asad Shafiq with 7 runs, Imran Farhat 49, Umar Akmal 3 and Kamran Akmal returned to pavilion with meager 12 runs. But, Misbahul Haq shone unsurpassed with 83 runs driving Pakistan to a convincing win over Scotland.

Falling far short, while chasing the 232-run target, Scotland were all out at 135.

Scotland’s spinner Majid Haq Haq claimed the wickets of Asad Shafiq for seven and Umar Amin for three, before Kamran Akmal fell lbw to Neil Carter for 12.

Junaid Khan and Saeed Ajmal attained three wickets each for Pakistan.
