Pakistan Wins Silver Medal in Wrestling

Pakistan won a Silver Medal on the third day of the Common Wealth Games in Delhi. National wrestler Azhar Hussain lost the final to his Indian opponent. Aisamul Haq could not present impressive play while the National Hockey Team would play its second match against Malaysia today.

Azhar Hussain made his place in the finals of wrestling event of the continuing mega event in New Delhi where he faced his Indian opponent Rajinder Kumar. Although Azhar got injured after the first round but was curious to get the award. He won the Silver Medal after losing the final and the decisive round.
Tennis Star and US Open Finalist Aisamul Haq lost against Australian opponent Eden Mat. Pakistan and Malaysia would play their second match in the Hockey event of CWG. In the first match, Pakistan defeated a weak opponent Scotland by a margin of three goals.
Shooting event also brought good news to the nation where Shooter Kaleem Ullah made his place in the finals of men’s single category of the event. On the other hand, the only woman athlete, Shooter Tazeem Akhter remained at the 11th position in the event of women’s single, which included 17 shooters.
