Peshawar Police Foiled Arms Smuggling

Foiling a bid to smuggle huge cache of arms and ammunitions, Peshawar police Monday claimed arresting two smugglers in the process and moved the same to unidentified location to step up investigation, reports.Smuggling

Police version advocates all this in a way like a suspected pickup van was stopped during routine checking at a checkpost near Chamkani police station located on Ring Road. Officials found out heavy amount of arms and ammunition hidden inside secret chambers of the vehicle.

Two accused were promptly arrested who are reportedly hailing from Chamkani and Chitral districts.

The arms include 21 thousands rounds of bullets, 24 pistols, 33 repeaters, and around hundred hand grenades. These were being smuggled from Darra-e-Adam Khel to Punjab, police claimed.
