Petrol Prices Likely to Mount up to Rs 4.50 Ltr from 01 March

Petroleum products prices are likely to mount up to Rs. 4.50 per liter from March 01, as regime has prepared a summary for increase in cost of the POL products at start of next month in country, News reported on Monday.

According to OGRA sources, a summary has been finalized for increase in petroleum products’ prices up to four and half rupees and this summary will be sent to the Finance Ministry on Tuesday for approval.

The OGRA summary proposes Rs. 2.20 per liter increase in petrol price, Rs. 3.50 a liter in diesel, Rs. 4.50 in light diesel, Rs. 4.40 in kerosene oil and Rs. 3.35 in HOBC price.

Finance Ministry will approve the OGRA summary till February 28 and from March 01, new prices of the petroleum products will be charged.

Previously, POL products’ prices had been reviewed on 22nd of every month but this time new prices will be imposed at start of next month.
