An official notification has been issued for increase in prices of petroleum products up to Rs. 8.67 per liter from March 1, reported on Wednesday.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has mounted petroleum products’ prices from 2.9 percent to 7.3 percent.
After this latest increase in petroleum products’ prices now petrol cost has jumped up by Rs. 2.75 per liter, hi-octane by Rs. 8.67, light diesel by Rs. 3.08 and kerosene oil by Rs. 4.38 per liter while price of high speed diesel has been left unchanged.
According to the gazette notification issued by the Petroleum Ministry, from March 1 (Today’s midnight) consumers will get petrol on Rs. 97.66 per liter, hi-octane Rs. 126.87, light diesel Rs. 93.29 and kerosene oil on Rs. 96.40 per liter.
To keep price of high speed diesel unchanged, the Finance Ministry has reduced petroleum levy by Rs. 2.43 and changed it to Rs. 4.07 per liter.
These new prices of petroleum products will be charged from today’s midnight (March 1).
