Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed the hope that the dialogue process with Taliban initiated by the government will yield results and bring lasting peace and economic stability in the country.

The premier was talking to the media after his arrival in London, where he represented Pakistan at the third Nuclear Security Summit at The Hague.

He said democracy has gained strength in Pakistan and the continuity of democracy has further improved the country’s stature in the comity of nations. With the country’s economic indicators showing advancement, increase in foreign investment and improvement in the dollar-rupee parity, the present government has put the economy on right track, he said.

PM Nawaz expressed confidence that Pakistan would soon overcome the energy crisis, adding that 21,000 MW of electricity would be added to the national grid in the next seven to eight years.
