PM sharif Arrives in Bannu to Visit IDP Camps

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Bannu to visit IDP camps to review arrangements for thousands of displaced people who left their homes in North Waziristan due to anti-Taliban military operation in the tribal agency, news reported Friday.

The PM was welcomed by army chief General Raheel Sharif upon his arrival at Bannu.

Chief Minister KPK, Pervez Khattak, and other government officials are accompanying the PM who was briefed by military officials over arrangements for IDPs.

The PM has also invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief, Imran Khan, to join him during the visit, however, the PTI chief excused himself from accompanying the PM and army chief during today’s visit.

Khan was of the view that he has already visited the camps and that he has to attend his party’s public meeting in Bahawalpur today.
