Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is not willing to show any flexibility regarding his plan to lead a million march from Lahore to Islamabad on August 14.

According to sources, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who headed a meeting of top party leaders, was told that Imran Khan was adamant on staging the long march.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, who was given the task to approach Khan, briefed the participants about his contacts with the PTI chief.

According to sources, it was decided that negotiations would continue with the PTI till the evening of August 13.

Sources add that PTI would be asked to select any other venue for his planned sit-in instead of D-Chowk.  It was also decided that government would not create any hurdle if PTI workers remained peaceful.

About Tahir ul Qadri’s march, it was decided to consult legal experts. Legal consultation would be carried out in the light of provocative speeches made by the PAT chief.
