The signs that a concord between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is taking shape became even more evident after party chief Imran Khan announced the PTI protest sit-in is going back to D-Chowk (Constitution Avenue) in front of the Parliament House from outside Pakistan Secretariat, media reported.

“Our demonstration will now continue in D-Chowk…until Nawaz Sharif discontinues as prime minister”, Khan told his surprised workers, who had suffered a lot at the iron hands of riot police before reaching this point in their march on the PM House.

Khan, who was addressing a throng of his protestors, from his container-cum-caravan-cum-podium, called ‘Azadi Bus’, said, “It does not mean we are retreating. Mr PM, let me tell you clearly, we are only changing our location not the demand for your resignation.”

Analysts say, PTI is clearing the area after the government pinned the cancellation of Chinese president’s visit to Pakistan on the unruly protest demos that have turned the federal capital’s ‘Red Zone’ into a slummy tent city.

The cricketer-turned politician, who was famous for his wicket-taking abilities, claimed he would clean bowled both PM Nawaz and former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry with a single delivery.

“It’s called killing two birds with one stone”, said Khan.
