Transporters Announce wheel-jam Strike in Karachi

Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) has announced wheel-jam strike and all private schools holiday, after strike call of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sam-ul-Haq (JUI-S), in Karachi on Friday (today), media reports.

Earlier, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam- Samiul Haque had announced of strike on Friday (today) against killing of party leader Mufti Usman Yar Khan last week in the metropolis.

Owing to the wheel-jam strike call, the University of Karachi has cancelled all papers, scheduled for today, while the Private Schools Association has announced holiday today.

Mufti Usman Yar Khan, General Secretary of the JUI-S, had been gunned down, in his car, by motorbike riding unknown assassins near Awami Markaz with his guard and driver on Shahrah-e Faisal on the previous Friday.
