44 Pakistanis Confirmed dead in Mina 62 Still Missing

Pakistan’s Ministry for Religious Affairs has confirmed martyrdom of 44 Pakistani pilgrims in Mina stampede, with 62 still missing four days after the incident, media reported.

According to information released on the ministry’s official website, 44 Pakistani pilgrims have been martyred while 35 others are injured. Their details have been issued on the website:

According to the official data, the injured pilgrims are under treatment in Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, King Faisal Al- Shisha Hospital, King Abdul Aziz (Al-Zahir) Hospital and Pakistan Hajj Medical Mission Hospital in Makkah.

Officials say that 62 Pakistani pilgrims were still missing efforts are underway to trace them.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided that the government would send family members of the martyred pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

The ministries of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs have been directed to make arrangements in this regard, said a PM House press release on Monday.

The bereaved family members of those shaheed pilgrims who had lost their lives in Mina and crane crash tragedies would be sent after completion of the Hajj mission.

The government has set up helpline for information regarding missing Hujjaj. The numbers are 042111725425 (to dial from Pakistan) and 8001166622 (to dial from Saudi Arab).
