Bangladesh Awaits ICC Security Report for Pakistan Tour

As Pakistan prepares to host Dhaka amid hopes for international cricket revival in the country, the Bangladesh team is awaiting ICC green signal for Pakistan tour, Media reports.

BangladeshTalking to media on Wednesday, Rabeed Imam, the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s media manager, said no final decision could be announced unless a report from International Cricket Council for security clearance is received.

When asked if the BCB has opposed its national team’s tour to Pakistan, he replied: “no comments.”

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) administration was happy on Sunday when BCB president Mustafa Kamal announced that Bangladesh was agreed to tour Pakistan for a short one 50-over match and one Twenty20 international later this month, reviving international cricket suspended in the country three years ago.

PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf said the confirmation is a good sign. But Wednesday’s development sets off further doubts.
