Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in 5th ODI to clinch ODI series 4-1

Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-Haq’s 66 and batsman Umar Akmalโ€™s 61 guided the green shirts to a three-wicket win in Abu Dhabi to take the series 4-1 against Sri Lanka, News reports.

Pakistan are now fifth on the ICC ODI ranking table, with 108 points. Sri Lanka are fourth with 112, and England sixth with 106.

Pakistan have the best bowling attack in the world now, and under Misbah the batting has acquired the rigour and discipline that was absent earlier, commentators said.

Earlier, Sri Lanka reached 218-9 off their allotted 50 overs in the fifth and final day-night international on Wednesday. Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews hit fighting half-centuries.
