PM Sharif says Govt – Army – Media Join Hands for Pakistan

Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif Thursday said the resolution of myriad problems facing Pakistan was his sole responsibility, however, no political party or an individual could come to grips with this mammoth undertaking alone, media reported.

“The government, the army, and the media will have to join hands to get the country out of dire straits”, said he talking to media here.

The prime minister is currently in London on an official visit to review and further strengthen the strategic relations between the two countries.

During the press conference, the prime minister lauded the efforts of Punjab government for Pakistani expatriates in Britain.

Commenting on the power crisis he said that his government was trying to phase out the loadshedding.

“The power crisis cannot be overcome overnight. We are gradually bringing it under control”, said he.

Sharif also revealed that Britain had offered cooperation in the energy sector, whereas China was all set to invest $33 billion in the same.

“Pakistan will soon become a beautiful country of lights as at least 21,000 megawatts will be injected into the national grid in under ten years”, the prime minister said.
