Earlier, PPPโ€™s Co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, directed his party leadership to launch the ‘final phase’ of reconciliatory talks with the MQM.

The former president of Pakistan issued directives to this effect at a high-level party meeting he chaired at Bilawal House.

“PPP was trying its best to bring these fence-mending parleys to a ‘mutually beneficial conclusion’ in the light of Shaheed Benazir Bhuttoโ€™s reconciliatory policy, which must endure”, said Zardari during the meeting.

He also tasked Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, with the formation of a committee to push the talks ahead.
