Babarโ€™s remarks come over rumours that President Zardari was planning to resign following his partyโ€™s crushing defeat in the general election.

There is no question of Zardari leaving the presidency, according to Babar.

The former ruling party, PPP, has suffered a humiliating defeat in the election. It has been wiped out from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. But PPP got some respite in Sindh, where it emerged as the single largest party by bagging 67 seats.
