Pakistan batsmen again failed to meet expectation of the fans and selectors to achieve target of 260 runs, set by the rival South Africa, and all team returned to pavilion after facing 44.3 overs and making 191 runs only.

All top order batsmen of Pakistan failed to impress with performance and scored far below from the expectations but the tail enders Sohail Tanvir and Wahab Riaz played well and made 31 and 33 runs respectively while playing intelligently in the crucial time.

South African bowler Imran Tahir again received loud appreciation from the audience and team mates by getting four crucial wickets in the match. M Morkel and R Mclaren took two wickets each while LL Tsotsobe and DW Steyn took one wicket each.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss for third ODI in Abu Dhabi and elected to bat first against Pakistan.

The Proteas scored 259 runs after losing eight wickets at completion of assigned 50 overs and set 260 runs target for the green shirts.

JP Duminy scored most runs, 64, from South African team and F du Plessis made 55 impressive runs in third ODI.

Keeping Pakistan batsmen’s recent performances in view, it was expected that Pakistan team will face great difficulty to achieve this target of 260 runs, set by South African in Abu Dhabi today, and at the close of the match those guesses, of bad performance by Pakistan batsmen, proven true.

South Africa won first match by only one run and took lead in the series but Pakistan stood victorious in second ODI and leveled the series.
