Speaking in current affairs program, “Nadeem Malik Live” here on Tuesday, SIC leader Sahibzada Raza said that there was no legitimacy of suicide attacks according to Islamic Sharia. “Even attacks on Sikhs, Hindus and Christians in an Islamic state are haram,” he said.

He lamented that political parties, which came into power, had other agendas. Any person who doesn’t accept the constitution or Sharia is a rebel and should be strongly dealt with by the state, he emphasized.

“Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has issued a joint edict, declaring suicide attacks as un-Islamic,” he added.

JI leader Professor Ibrahim agreed with Sahibzada’s declaration that suicide bombing on security forces, police and innocent people was harm.

He recalled that after 9/11 attacks, Musharraf launched a military operation in Waziristan in 2004, claiming that there were just few hundred insurgents. Later, those few hundred converted into thousands, he noted.

He also lauded the courage of Shaheed Aitizaz Hassan and his father Mujahid Ali.

The JI leader regretted that not a single case of terrorism met its logical end in Pakistan.

ANP leader Shahi Syed praised Sahibzada Hamid Raza and professor Ibrahim for categorically denouncing suicide blasts as haram. He said that more religious scholars and media persons should come forward in condemning militancy.

“The US was never our friend and will never be our friend. We should not sabotage our peace talks due to an American drone,” he said. “It is not in Pakistan’s control to stop drones. Talks must be held between Taliban and govt…..There is no other option.”

He pointed out that the US had ditched Pakistan as well as Taliban, saying that Maulana Fazlur Rehman once admitted that the US had used Pakistan for its own objectives.

Meanwhile, Mujahid Ali, father of Shaheed Aitizaz Hassan, urged the whole nation to offer more sacrifices to save Pakistan. He said that he was proud of his son for his brave act of saving others.
