Umar Gul Disappointed But Still Hopeful

Fast bowler Umar Gul is also talk of town now a days as selectors didn’t pick him for UAE series against Australia. The right-arm pacer expressed disappointment, but said that he is still hopeful.

“Obviously, I am disappointed for not being picked up for upcoming series but it doesn’t means I left hope, I will come back soon and will prove myself,” he said while talking to Samaa correspondent.

When asked if he is considering to take retirement from test cricket after back-to-back injuries, Gul rejected such thoughts.

“I am fully fit for all formats of cricket be it Test, ODI or T20. The day I feel myself a burden on team I will quit immediately,” he said.

Umar Gul said he is feeling much better than previous month.

The 30-year-old pacer last time represented green shirts on 1st April, 2014 in T20 against West Indies at Dhaka.
